Internet Gambling: Fact not Fiction

Posted by admin | May 1st, 2010 | Published in gambling

Many a story does the rounds about the internet gambling business. Many are facts but many are merely fictions. In this article I have tried to address some common issues about internet gambling. Besides addressing some basic questions regarding the security, we address a question that is perhaps the most asked question by many about internet gambling. Is internet gambling legal?

Sticking to the federal laws of USA, there are two main laws regarding gambling in the US of A. The Interstate Wire Act, 1961 prohibits gambling activities conducted through wires. But though the internet does use wires, the words used in stating the law facilitated for many a loophole. However, Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, states that it is a crime for a company in USA to accept money from online gambling. This however does not make much of a difference as most online gambling companies are located outside of USA. Moreover, the federal government leaves it to the states to determine whether internet gambling is legalized in that state.

Among other things, security is also an issue with internet gambling. There are two types of online casinos – web-based and download-based. With the web-based casinos, the player can gamble without having to download any software. It is prone to infecting you with spywares and malwares. It also requires a high speed internet connection.

The other is download based casino. Here casino software needs to be downloaded before you actually get to gamble. Once downloaded and set up, the gaming speed is faster than the web based casinos. However, if you want to trust the download source, it is at your own risk.

A live chat based casino environment is also available on the internet. This is an endeavor to give you a real life gambling experience. Some even offer the use of web cams.

GAMBLING Vs SPORTS BETTING

Posted by admin | May 1st, 2010 | Published in gambling

Many gamers are constantly asking themselves the same question, whether or not they can make a fortune out of gambling or betting. Some people say that what adds up in sports betting is some working knowledge of math. It is said that the proficient bettors are more likely to end up with the cash when the sports betting transaction is over. Statisticians argue that there is no need for solid knowledge in sports betting or in casino gambling, because it is the mathematical mind that makes the difference whether you win or you don’t.

Since sports betting is all about predicting sports results , it goes without saying that statistical information should be processed in order to have some actual chances of winning. Those who play online casino gambling as a means of making money should know that the same knowledge of math can make a difference. Online casino gambling typically focuses on Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Craps, Video Poker and Slots. The winning strategies for Blackjack have been developed about forty years ago by mathematicians who used computer simulations. In quite a similar way, the odds of winning when playing poker, either video or regular, can significantly be improved with some math knowledge. And it is the same knowledge that will help you understand the very low chances of actually winning at games such as Roulette or Craps.

Online casino gambling has led to the advent of many web sites with related content, such as gambling guides or online casino

reviews. This is where you can find information such as game strategies, reviews of casinos and poker rooms, the latest news, etc. if you are really interested in online casino gambling. All in all, the best advice that a gambler can be given is not to try and beat the odds, but to have fun while betting or gambling.

Gambling has both sides of ones luck-whether good or bad. One can make money here or some gets ruined. Few games and their tricks to make money easily are discussed. Roulette is of such game where management of money is more important than having a method of play. Play in short busts and have a cut off point. In football betting, try to specialize in one league. You should not underestimate the importance of key players. You should leave your bets until the last possible moment

GAMBLING MAKES MONEY

Posted by admin | May 1st, 2010 | Published in gambling

Gambling is all about fun, entertainment and making money. Gambling can make you richer and richer if you win. It brings profit to a person if the tricks are known and of course have a good luck. Side by side if you know the best game that could earn you more and more it would be an added advantage. Like in Casino the BJ Slots, Texas Hold’em and Bingo are the best games to win. A good card counter can make consistent money, but this takes patience and a good poker player can make a good amount too. Slots have the short term winning potential, but they are rigged tightly. Keno, Let it Ride, Caribbean Stud and all carnival games should be avoided. Texas Hold’em has a positive expectation if you are very good. Video poker can be winnable in the right situation, but you need to know the strategy. Short time wins are possible if you get lucky.

Gambling have both the ends-good and bad…..Even though gambling is of great fun and entertaining, can’t be expected to beat them over an extended period of time. Reason is of course the odds in those games are tilted against the player. So players are bound to ultimate lose. It is not said that you should never play those games. Those games are of great fun and more entertaining. But you can’t realistically expect a long term profit from playing Roulette, Keno, Craps and Bingo etc.

However, there are ways to gamble in many casinos which do offer beatable proportions. One is poker and another is BJ and another is sports betting. But none of those are so easy to beat and none of them offer overnight wealth. But it’s possible. Against poker all you have to do is beat the other guys at the table. If you are better at poker than the other players, you will win. And against BJ the trick is to know which cards remain in the deck and their relevance to the odds concerning whether you will win the next hand.
